What is Script Script aims to discover, develop and nurture dramatists in the West Midlands reflecting the diversity of the region and enabling them to work professionally in live and recorded language based media. Based in Birmingham, Script grew from Stagecoach, which was created in 1992 as an organisation to develop and support playwrights in the region and has flourished ever since – running a packed annual programme to develop and support playwrights and promote playwriting. Script is funded primarily by Arts Council England, West Midlands as well as other funding bodies.
