Coventry Libraries Exciting Venture to support Coventry Writers - Stage Three Publication

The Break Into Print scheme has run for a number of years here in Coventry. Due to the continued success over previous years, we secured funding form the Lottery and West Midlands Arts to produce professional quality books. As such this year, for the first time, writers, Illustrators and publishers were involved in the process to produce books that are of a standard a publisher would be proud of.  As a result, we have had a great deal of interest from other library authorities around the country, asking for help in setting up similar schemes.

This is how it was done:-

Mark Williams Literature Development Officer [literature.development@coventry.gov.uk]at Coventry Libraries 02476 832325 says:-

"For all you budding authors out there, although the workshops may have come to an end, our “Break Into Print,” scheme is still steaming ahead at full throttle.

As such, we will accept entries for the scheme as soon as you are ready to submit them. However, it may be worth noting the following milestone dates so that you have every opportunity of breaking into print."
