The Lit-Net Little-Read Classics

The BBC Big Read has come and gone. Long live the Big Read

NEWS FLASH forget the Beeb's soccer Past Masters; they don't pass muster. Click the Euro 2004 Read Out entries to think like Teddy Sheringham, outside the box.

"All I know most surely about morality and obligations, I owe to football"
Albert Camus, goalkeeper for Algeria

The Lit-Net Little Read carries the ball, beyond 21, beyond 100, 200....To Infinity and Beyond... with the West Midlands Readers Network

You've read books which you think everyone else should read but no-one else does. Which you believe with a passion should be read by everyone who ever breathed. This is the very definition of a Lit-Net Little-Read classic.

This is your chance to be a John Sergeant and Mark Lawrenson "Catch-22", Arabella Weir "Gone with the Wind", Simon Sharma "War & Peace"
(the only one not written in English of the squad of 21, unlike Chelsea FC)

As well as foreign novels, we're up for any books, any age and not just novels. Poetry, history, travel, biographies, sports - just so long as the writing's impressive, yet the book's lesser known, a LIT-NET LITTLE-READ CLASSIC.

All you have to do is click 'Add Content' Give the book's title as title, its author as author, and in text why you reckon more people should read this little-read classic.

By all means remain anonymous, but add your name and e-mail address where indicated and you could win a big prize of books. Like the BBC Big Read, you vote for your fave Lit-Net Little Read Classics simply by clicking on its entry.

Remember folks, it's your votes at home that count - and books!
