Festivals are a bit like holidays - lots of things to book, and pack, and think about beforehand, and that's just the organisers.

Literature Festivals are a bit special. It's where readers and writers meet; it's where people as well as words on the page come alive; it's where literature isn't a quiet corner curled up with a book, but centre stage performing to the stalls and the gallery. It's where the audience - you -are real, not the anonymous reader.
